Meet The Girls From Grow Up - The Podcast

Hi, I'm Ella, I'm known for being a single mum who's a single dad. I'm 37 and after a military divorce, a CPTSD diagnosis, and 20 years of pretending I knew how to adult I decided it was time to grow up. 

Without the aid of Prosecco or dating apps I am discovering that my experiences were an inevitable consequence of things that had happened to me decades before. 

Once you know ... You can't un-know. 

And once you begin, you can't stop.

Hi, I'm Georgia, I'm known for having 4 kidneys, only 1 of which works. I'm 31 and after 2 kidney transplants and over 12 years of kidney failure, I finally decided to do some of the inner work that I had been avoiding for so long. 

With mortality as my teacher, I am realising that most of my trauma came before my diagnosis, but because it wasn't as visible, I didn't know it was there. 

So, now I'm letting science meet spirit. I'm letting Yin meet Yang. I'm letting me meet myself. 

 Through a series of recorded and published phone calls we share, shock, and discover our true selves. 

As our society experiences a global shift of consciousness we decided to capture our transition in real time with the aim to help others who are navigating their own awakenings. 

Using and celebrating both scientific and spiritual methods we are curating our toolkits in order to deconstruct, heal, and re-build to meet ourselves and the world on a new level, a better level. 

Like, a MUCH better level. 

Combining over 50 recognisable and relatable themes, and using our experiences and qualifications, we endeavour to be consistently vulnerable, authentic, helpful, and pretty damn funny, as we explore a world we never knew existed and where anything, absolutely anything, is possible. 

We are all about transparency, most weeks we record our phone calls while we're sitting on our beds, in different towns, with snacks, water bottles, and a bunch of notes and research following a WTF moment or Whatsapp conversation. 

Some weeks Ella chooses to sit at a desk.

Georgia has a semi-professional microphone that she plugs into her phone, and Ella has 7 year old iPhone headphones that she plugs into hers.

We have a reputation for having very long, excitable phone calls once we get going, our unconscious aim, it seems, is to open as many brain tabs as possible, our conscious aim is to support each other across the stepping stones of a particular realisation or thought process. 

Either way, it's Ella's job to get philosophical when Georgia produces a check list, and it's Georgia's job to edit and publish all the parts of the phone call where Ella didn't speak over her.
